The Sacramento County Youth Commission compiled a survey in July 2001 (see "Important Youth Issues" under presentations), and in doing so discovered that teens listed boredom as one of the major reasons for substance abuse. In an effort to solve this problem, SCYC has compiled a brochure filled with fun and educational activities for teens (activities are arranged by category). So what are you waiting for? Go rock climbing! Go to the zoo! If you're feeling generous, volunteer! Hopefully, you'll be able to find better things to do than lounge around and watch TV all day!
